Aloe Arborescens contains Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Colina, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. Vitamins are organic substances which man is incapable of producing independently and must therefore obtain from food. Small quantities of vitamins are indispensable to ensure the healthy metabolic functioning of our cells.
Vitamin B12 has a primary role in the metabolism of our nervous system, particularly in the brain, as well as its importance in the supply of energy to the body. Recent studies have proven that, contrary to what was previously held true, Vitamin B12 can prevent tumours, especially those caused by smoking. It improves resistance to infection.
Folic acid takes part in many of our bodyís metabolic processes, without a doubt, among the most important being DNA synthesis. It can also be used in the prevention of the development of certain types of tumours and is useful in the treatment of hardened arteries.
Colina is another vitamin indispensable to our nervous system. It is involved in the transport of molecules and electric impulses between nerve cells and is an essential element in the make up of Acetilcolina.
Vitamin A as is also true for Vitamins C and E is of particular current interest in recent studies which demonstrate itís beneficial effect in the fight against cancer, as well as infective agents. It is fundamental to the healthy workings of our sight apparatus, it regulates cell development, is important to our immune system and finally aids and accelerates the healing of wounds.
Vitamin E also takes part in the production of our bodyís energy, stimulates the immune system and would seem to be of particular benefit when applied to cases of breast cancer, as is also true of Vitamin A. It is also known for itís anti-oxidant effect.
Vitamin C increases the bodyís resistance to viral infections, protects against cardiovascular diseases and fights the damaging effects of free radicals.
